The Maimonides Heritage Center is looking for eager volunteers to help spread the center’s mission by forming a Maimonides Heritage Center chapter in your community!
National and international Maimonides Heritage Center chapters can make a difference. Our goals include spreading the teachings of Maimonides and improving the living conditions of the citizens of Tiberias. Chapters can do advocacy work by holding fundraisers, clothing drives, or sponsoring students in Tiberias. Chapters can also support one of the many social action programs funded through the Maimonides Heritage Center.
Organizing a Chapter
The Maimonides Heritage Center is eager to help you organize a chapter and will provide you with ideas to involve your community members in this very important mission. Not only does your group have a powerful opportunity to initiate change in Tiberias, but you can develop awareness within your community as to the contemporary relevance of Maimonides’ life and teachings.
Individual Involvement
There is also opportunity for you to contribute on an individual level to the Maimonides Heritage Center. We are looking for additional volunteers on the Fundraising Committee, Publicity Committee, Building Committee, Social Action Committee, and the Education Committee. The leadership of respected rabbinic scholars, commitment of influential Israeli political leaders, and generosity of philanthropic individuals and organizations continue to make the Heritage Center’s success possible.
